Each resource to be managed must be configured in order for Vantage to know its name, the terminal emulation used, the connectivity method and the port number. This task is accomplished through The Resource Definition Dialog.
NOTE: You may choose Central Data Definition, Emulex Definition, TCP/IP Definition, NS9000 Definition, Lantronix Definition, Device File Resource Definition Perle Systems Definition , or Xyplex Definition , to skip the Resource definition explanation and go directly to a specific connectivity dialog.
To start the Resource Definition dialog position the pointer on the Resource Definition icon on the Vantage Admin sub-panel and click the left mouse button.
