The Vantage software will not execute properly when the workstation comes up following a system crash. The following procedure will recover Vantage.
Note: For recovery of an X Terminal please call Vantage Technical Support.
1. Click Options on the CDE login screen, click Command Line Prompt, login as root and execute /etc/shutdown -h 0
2. Power cycle the workstation and all peripherals per the instructions in Shutdown of the Vantage Workstation.
3. Once the workstation is up and at the window manager's login screen, login as vanmgr.
4. Start the Launch/Status Manager dialog from the front panel.
5. Click Recover on the Launch/Status Manager dialog.
6. Resource consoles can be started and normal Vantage operation can be resumed.
